We share a history, now share a book.

is a state-wide book discussion group designed to promote dialogue among community members gathered in various locations throughout the state.  To accomplish this goal, participants are urged to join book discussion groups and attend related special events, such as meeting the author, character portrayals, movies, and workshops.
 

Libraries throughout the state are in the developing stages of book discussion groups.  Please visit us again soon for updates or contact Susan Hayden, One Book One West Virginia Program Coordinator, at haydens@wvlc.lib.wv.us

  •  8:00 p.m. Scarborough Society Lecture and Awards Ceremony "The Voice of the 'Ferriner:' An Expatriate's View of the Appalachians in Literature," (Ms. Trigiani will receive the Appalachian Heritage Writer's Award and present her keynote address at Erma Ora Byrd Hall, followed by McMurran reception and book signing). The WV Fiction Writers awards will also be presented by Ms. Trigiani.
